Let it Ring!

marylake_bell.jpg

After over 30 years of quiet from the Shrine Bell Tower at Marylake, the bell finally rings across Marylake and King Township again! Thanks to your generosity, enough funds were gathered for its repair. To celebrate this joyous event, a special blessing of the Bell Tower was conducted on November 25, 2018.

The Way of the Cross

The 15-station Way of the Cross is now ready at Marylake.

The Blessing of the Stations of the Cross was scheduled on Saturday August 25, 2018. Exclusive works of art – unique at each station – and crosses are now added to the landscape. It is another profound way at Marylake for you to pray and contemplate the wonders of your faith.

A Great Start to your Walk down The Rosary Path at Marylake

Installed in the spring of 2016, the Great Crucifix, made of specially processed stainless steel, is nineteen feet long while the bronze corpus is eleven feet in length. It is created by renowned Canadian sculptor, Timothy Schmalz. The scroll above the head of Christ indicating "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" was designed by Ted Harasti and is authentically inscribed in abbreviated form in three languages: Hebrew, Latin, and Greek, consistent with the Gospel narrative of Christ's Passion.
