World Day of Prayer for Peace
Come anytime throughout the day and pray for yourself, your family and friends, our country, and our world, as we begin the new year of 2020.
St. Pope Paul VI declared January 1, 1968 as the inaugural observance of a World Day of Prayer for Peace to be held every January 1st.
“It is my desire that then, every year, this commemoration be repeated as a hope and as a promise, at the beginning of the calendar which measures and outlines the path of human life in time, that Peace with its just and beneficent equilibrium may dominate the development of events to come.” - St. Pope Paul VI
