Memorial of Saint Blaise
Saint Blaise was an Armenian bishop who, according to tradition, suffered martyrdom during the persecutions of Licinius early in the 4th century. Little is known of his life, but for centuries the intercession of Saint Blaise has been sought by those suffering from or seeking to avoid diseases of the throat. In keeping with this tradition, we will have the “Blessing of Throats” immediately following our 9:00 am Mass on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018.
